This painting is inspired by one of the best days of my life. After meditating in a cave on Kalalau beach, I laid at the shore and felt deep surrender. The waves washed over me, and I felt pure bliss as the ocean carried away anything that had ever stressed me out in my life. Held at the cusp of the land and the sea, I remember thinking to myself “this must be one of the best days on earth that anyone is living today.” I feel beyond blessed to have felt the present moment in its entirety - so pure, simple, and incredible. I pray that the same blissful presence that washed over me on this day washes over anyone who sees this painting.
